The Christchurch Arts Audience Development (CAAD) Project is governed by the CAAD Trust and operated by a consortium of Christchurch-based organisations led by the CAAD steering group.
Arts Finder is the newsletter that is distributed by the CAAD Project.
The steering group – made up of representatives from Canterbury Museum, Christchurch Arts Festival, Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu, ChristchurchNZ, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Showbiz Christchurch, SCAPE Public Art, The Arts Centre of Christchurch,WORD Christchurch and independent arts experts – has a shared vision for the arts in Christchurch. Our vision is to make the arts and culture part of everyday life for the people of Christchurch and Canterbury, New Zealand.
Steering group representatives are driving this project with the aim of growing audiences for the arts for the collective benefit of all Christchurch and Canterbury arts and culture practitioners and organisations.
In 2013, CAAD conducted research into audiences for the arts in Christchurch.
The CAAD Database (also known as the Arts Finder Database) is a shared, ‘opt-in’ database of audience members who are interested in receiving offers and information about visits to cultural venues and activities.
